WALTHAM, MA– Indian classical dancer Radhe Jaggi, daughter of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev whose Isha Foundation has been leading Cauvery Calling, a campaign to revive India’s dying rivers and farmer’s economy, will perform this Friday, Sept.27, 2019 at Sri Lakshmi Temple in Ashland, MA.

On a tour of the United States and Canada, Ms. Jaggi is currently in Boston to raise awareness about Cauvery Calling. She will be performing in a Bharathanatyam fundraiser event at Sri Lakshmi temple. She is a graduate of Kalakshetra Foundation and a disciple of Padmashree Leela Samson.

Cauvery Calling is a massive movement to revitalize the south Indian river Cauvery and transform the lives of 84 million people.  Over a span of 12 years, it will facilitate planting 2.4 billion trees in the river’s basin by reaching out to more than 5 million farmers to shift to Agro-forestry.

This will help revive the river and also increase farmer income by five-times. Cauvery Calling is an economic plan with significant ecological impact. It will set an example for a sustainable river revitalization process that the rest of India and other tropical areas of the world can follow.

The campaign has garnered people’s support across states, governments and political spectrum.

Sadhguru, a Yogi Mystic and visionary, is founder of Isha Foundation, a non-profit organization which offers yoga programs around the world and is involved in social outreach, education and environmental initiatives.
