CAMBRIDGE, MA—With only high school education in Gujarati medium, he began his career by opening a small video library in his father’s tiny grocery store in Kurla neighborhood of Mumbai.
Today, Jayantilal Gada is one of the Bollywood’s renowned film producers and distributors. He co-produced Bollywood blockbuster Kahani with Vidya Balan. Also, he is the founder of India’s popular entertainment network PEN.
Mr. Gada was in Boston recently to speak at Harvard’s India Conference, and sat down for a video interview with Chai With Manju, INDIA New England News’s celebrity video interview series.
During the interview, Mr. Gada talks about his life and provides tips on how to get into Bollywood as the industry is rapidly changing, offering numerous opportunities.
