WALTHAM, MA– Ashish Shetty is a busy man with his job as a Vice President at global investment giant Goldman Sachs, but he finds time for his passion: standup comedy. Mostly, he gets inspired for his jokes by his parents and Indian-American immigrants. On Oct. 27, he will perform at the New England Choice Awards gala in Waltham, MA.
Raised in Andover, MA, Shetty attended Phillips Academy and graduated from Columbia University. Currently, he serves as Vice President at Goldman Sachs. Also, he has been recently appointed president of Bunts Association of North America, known as BANA.
In an exclusive video interview on Dreamcatchers with Manju Sheth, Shetty talks about his journey and says most inspiration he gets for his comedy takes comes from his parents, especially his mother, Kalpana Shetty, a successful real estate broker who lives in Andover.

On Oct. 27, Shetty will perform at the New England Choice Awards at Westin Hotel in Waltham, MA. The event will be attended about 400 entrepreneurs, corporate executives, philanthropists, educators and community leaders. The event is presented annually by the INE MultiMedia in collaboration with INDIA New England News, the region’s oldest and largest online, print and video magazine serving the South Asian community.
