Mega Indian and South Asian Health Expo set to rock with nine speakers, 24 exhibitors and 15 supporting organizations

Organized by New England’s two finest institutions — the Indian Medical Association of New England and INDIA New England news — and supported by over 15 community and professional organizations, including the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and the Association of Pakistani Physicians of New England, as well as 24 exhibitors, the first mega Indian and South Asian Health Expo is fast approaching on April 27 at the Marriott Hotel in Newton, Mass.

The Health Expo, which is free for the attendees, will bring the area’s major hospitals and health-care providers together with the Indian and South Asian community in New England to educate them about common diseases and their prevention. Supported by 15 community and professional organizations, the Health Expo is the first major collaborations with community groups on such a large scale.

“I am very proud that we have done our very best to educate the community on important health issues by bringing nine very distinguished speakers. We are also doing free health screenings, bone marrow drive, podiatry screenings and dental screenings to name a few,” said IMANE President Dr. Manju Sheth. “We are overwhelmed by the support from the community organizations and are looking forward to a great event.”
